PPF faq'S

Most frequent questions and answers

No, FlexiShield has an impressive adhesive bond that is strong enough to hold to paint for many years but can also be removed. Your paint will be in the same condition as the day the Paint Protection Film (PPF) was applied.

You can remove the film yourself or take it back into an applications centre. The film can be removed simply by pulling upwards from an edge. It is best to heat the film first, either by leaving the car in the sun or with a heat gun.

No, unlike inferior older films on the market FlexiShield PSH will not turn yellow even after many years. With new technology we have been able to tweak the film to ensure unwanted yellow never shines through.

You are able to wash your vehicle as normal even with the film on. It is recommended by the manufacturer that you do not use silicon products or heavy degreasers as they will eventually wear the protective topcoat of the film.

You can definitely polish and wax the film as you would your normal paint. Maintaining the surface of the PPF is a great way to keep it in great condition for years to come. It is not recommended that you use cutting compounds or a buffing machine as it is too abrasive for the film and can damage the topcoat.

Application time depends on the area of the vehicle you are covering. Application times range for 1-5 days depending on the surface area.

FlexiShield will help hide light scratches! The PPF creates a bridge over the paint lesion and causes light to refract and seemingly fill the gaps. We have some impressive examples on our website, so be sure to check them out. If you have a deep scratch, we can still apply the film over the top. The film will not hide the scratch but it will protect it from the elements.

We are very confident in the technology behind our PPF and are happy to offer a 10year warranty on all FlexiShield products. We will remove and replace any film that has a manufacturing fault such as bubbling, cracking, fading or delamination.
